After many years of being in the underground of Poland’s hip-hop & rock scene, KAZADI landed her deal with a major label in 2011. Singles such as

“Look Around”, “Hałas” & “Go Crazy”

produced by Jim Beanz (musical director of the hit show “Empire”, who also worked with such global stars as Britney Spears or Shakira)  were a jump start to her solo music career.

Her 2012 single with French pop megastar Matt Pokora

“Wanna Feel You Now”

immediately became a hit in Poland (number one for three consecutive weeks) and has been aired in Belgium, Ukraine and France. The song landed her an NRJ Award nomination.

In May 2013 she has released her debut album “TRIP” and promoted it with a tour in Poland. Her second single from that album “Przerywam Sen” became the theme song for a tv show aired on music station VIVA. The videos for the singles gave her a total of  7 million views on Youtube and  half a million followers across social media platforms.

This Summer KAZADI’s music has been aknowledged in Africa where she won an award for the best new act on the BILILY MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. She also had the opportunity to perform on stage with her childhood Idol and huge star of the african music industry PAPA WEMBA.

Videos to “Live a little” and

“Shake the world” were directed by Mike Ho- the LA based director known for his videos with Chris Brown, Future, Mary J. Blige and Wiz Kalifa.

KAZADI has spent the last 9 months in LA working with Grammy nominated writers & producers such as Keith Harris (Madonna,Usher,Fergie), Colby O’Donis (Lady Gaga), Maejor (Justin Bieber), Stefano Langone (American Idol), Paperboyfabe (Kanye West, Ledisi, Game) & Dmadd (Nicki Minaj).

She completed an EP of 9 songs, each of which she co-wrote.

This is what she had to say about the process:

“DARK POP” is me – trully and fully – raw, emotional and real. I didn’t want to compromise, I spent a year writing these songs in solitude. I wanted to create a sound that would honestly express me and my feelings.

For a long time I couldn’t categorize the music I was doing. I grew up listening to heavy rock and at the same time to Mozart.  As I grew as an artist and as a woman I started to love soul and R&B. What I do is a blend of those styles with a new electronic flare. Coming from northern Europe I have an unlimited love for nostalgic big melodies and strong hooks. Now when I’m asked to define my sound I say – DARK POP– name I created for my genre. While working on my second album I wanted to share what I have been doing for the past year, so this EP is a small gift from me to my fans.
